Dr. Charles Toulson earned his Degree from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, NC. He is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with a high level of experience trained at the No. 1-ranked hospital in the U.S., John Hopkins Hospital, as ranked by U.S. News and World Report. He launched Alpha Orthopedics and Alpha Prompt with the purpose of providing the highest quality of orthopedic, medical and surgical care throughout the growing communities of McKinney, Frisco, Allen, Plano and surrounding areas, and beyond. He completed his subspecialty training at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, which has the top orthopedic program in the country. Dr. Toulson was recently voted among D Magazine’s Best Doctors in Dallas (2010). John Mohnickey has been an orthopedic physician assistant and surgical assistant/technologist since 1990. He has received his Associate Degree of Applied Science in Physician Assistant/Surgical Assistant at Cuyahoga Community College in Cleveland, Ohio. He also received an Associate Degree of Applied Science in Surgical Assisting Technology at Lorain Community College in Lorain, Ohio. John has a varied background in serving as a volunteer preceptor for Texas Tech School of Medicine and Cuyahoga County Community College. John is Texas Licensed and has over 17 years of experience in orthopedics in the operating room and the orthopedic clinic. John is one of the most qualified providers in the Dallas Fort Worth area with over 16-years of experience having worked with the Cleveland Indians, the Cleveland Browns, the AFL II – Dusters, and CHL Hockey League – Gorillas.

Brian L. Hambrick MPAS, PA-C is an Orthopedic Surgeon Physician Assistant at Alpha Orthopedics in McKinney, Texas. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Sports Medicine with a Minor in Chemistry at Austin College in Sherman, Texas. He completed his Master of Physician Assistant degree from the University of Texas Pan-American in Edinburg, Texas where he graduated top class, Summa Cum Laude. Brian worked at North Texas Orthopedics and Sports Medicine in Sherman, Texas before coming to work with Dr. Charles Toulson and his staff at Alpha Orthopedics.





  
Andrew Goodman, DC
Director of Rehabilitation

Dr. Andrew Goodman is a Cum Laude graduate from Parker College of Chiropractic. Upon graduating from Richardson High School, Dr. Goodman attended the University of Texas at Austin where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree.

While at school, Dr. Goodman quickly rose towards the top of his class receiving scholarships from Parker College and the American Chiropractic Association. Dr. Goodman was one of 6 students in his class to earn the opportunity to intern at the North Texas Veterans Hospital in Dallas. There Dr. Goodman had the opportunity to treat and care for our nations veterans, some with very serious combat-related illnesses.

Dr. Goodman’s post-graduate studies emphasize manual soft-tissue therapy and functional rehabilitation assisting him to treat his patients with expertise and care.

Dr. Goodman enjoys softball, baseball, and running and has completed a half and full marathon. He has been an Official Team Doctor of The McKinney Marshals and The North Texas Copperheads, as well as an Official Friend of Team in Training. Dr. Goodman and his family have lived in McKinney since 2003 and enjoy such McKinney highlights as the downtown square and the ballfields at Craig Ranch.

Anna Carel Alquiza, PT

Anna Carel Alquiza, a graduate of the University of Santo Tomas, has been a licensed physical therapist since 1989. Besides having more than 20 years of orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation experience, she has also completed all North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy (NAIOMT) coursework Levels I, II, and III at Texas Women's University. In April 2010, Carel has successfully completed the course requirements of the Kinesio Taping program for proficiency and received her certification for Kinesio Taping. Carel has been living in McKinney for over 14 years; she is married and has two wonderful children.

 

 


Val Hauptmann, PTA
Physical Therapist Assistant

Val received her Associate of Applied Sciences degree from Collin County College in McKinney, Texas, and has been a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in the State of Texas since 1999. Val has over 11 years of experience working in diverse settings, from acute hospital settings to out-patient orthopedic clinics. She has also worked in Home Health Care, Alzheimer Center. She has acquired extensive experience dealing with the Medicare population. In 2010, Val became a Certified Mat 1 Pilates instructor by Balance Body University. She is married and has two wonderful children.
